A Day at Windsor Castle

Today we went to the Windsor Castle. It is one of the castles that the Queen and her royal family still
work and live there. Our local teacher, Teacher Bob told us that there are still more than 200 staff work
here. It is amazing because most of the palaces around the world have usually become museums. I can't
imagine people live in the museums!

After we went into the castle, the staff in the castle had to check our bags and made sure we didn't bring
any dangerous things into the Queen's place. There are many visitors and we all had the audio tour
when we walked around the castle. Listening to the audio tour made me learn something about the his-
tory and collections of the castle. There are many precious and expensive furniture, paintings and din-
nerwares in different Halls where the royal family has parties.

When we went out of the castle, we saw changing the guards in front of a building. It's very exciting to
see the Queen's guards wearing their famous bearskin hats and red tunics. I also felt very sorry for the
guards because they need to wear them in such a warm day!

This spectacular castle was really amazing! The gardens were so beautiful that I almost forgot to take
some pictures for my family! It was such a happy but tiring day, but I returned to the dorm with full of
knowledge.

My Favorite Lego Land

Today is the day I expect the most because we went to Lego Land in Windsor! We took a coach there. The
journey was one hour. We arrived there at 10 o'clock in the morning.

First, we went to the“Beginning Zone”to take some photos with the figures in Star Wars. The figures
are made of Lego blocks. They are very delicate and real. After the Star Wars, some of my teammates
took the“Pirate Ship.”I didn't take a ride because I was afraid that I could feel dizzy.

Next, we went to the ride of“The Evil Dragon.”The dragon ran very slowly in the beginning, but sud-
denly it became very fast! It was so exciting as if my heart might jump out of my mouth! After that, we
took some photos in the“Little City Zone.”There are many cities around the world made of Lego
blocks. The buildings and the models are all very magnificent.
